Modern Indonesia short story written by East Java short story writers have their own aesthetic and extra-aesthetic features. From aesthetic perspective the Junior short story writers are generally more innovative than they senior in terms of (i) character and characterization (ii) plot and ploting (iii) setting (iv) point of view. These element especially characterization can be shown psychologically not in stereo-type way as their seniors in general. From the extra-aesthetic point of view which includes (i) main problem (ii) moral message and (iii) thematical content both seniors writers or yuniors refers to the rather similar feature. Its thema the content include (a) good and conflict (b) stuggle of life (c) social actualization (d) self conflict (e) woman existence of relegious leaders or their pupils.
