Small group discussion is a very versatile technique in speaking class because with only there to five members in a group the learners will have ample time to practice speaking in english. For an effective discussion the small group discussion session is divided into there parts (a) pre activities in which the instructor gives information about the techniques and steps of the discussion and the topic to discuss (b) whilst activities in which the learners do the topic to discission followed by whole clss or general discussion and (c) post activities in which the instructor gives comments on the topic discussed and the discussion process followed by language correction.
