It belongs to the semantic functional category. Imperfective and perfective verbs are two kinds of verb which are parts of aktionsart-class of verb. Iterative/frequentative verbs intensive verbs and diminutive verbs belong to the imperfective verb while ingressive/inchoative verbs ergresive verbs mutative verbs causative/factitive verbs are parts of the perfective verbs.
