The art of painting and art of photography are part of visual arts. The me- dia used in the art of painting are in the form of pigment or paint whereas in the art of photography the media take the form of light. Since the initiating process of the art of painting and the art of photography that is since 1980s up till then the two have been developing hand in hand. They have been influencing each other in some respects media technique term and style.
