Proclamation of May 17 1498 by ALRI divisi IV A of Kalimantan Defance was one of the historical struggeling episode launched by south Kalimantan People in maintaining the proclamation of indenpandance of August 17 1945. The proclamation consisted of the south Kalimantan People s to ignore the contents of Linggarjati agreement and to state South Kalimantan as a part of republic of Indonesia. The historical event reflects some struggling values that should be known understood contemplated and highly appreciated by our young generation as represtentation of loyality to Indonesian Republic. Education is trusted as a very effective means of dessimenation in the process of learning and teaching at schools. In this relation qualified and dedicated teachers should select and determine appropriate approach and learning and teaching strategy.
