Indigeonous know system and traditional teacnology sive a teal contribution on natural conservation. Natural resources menegement can not be separated from cultural community it is one way with agreed norm which is bangaded with myth beliefs and ritual ceremony. This paper is intended to intoduce indigenous knowladge concept of Batakan community in managing beach enviroment. This paper is based on the descriptive research using the obsevation technique and depth interview. The sample of this reseach are 15 people who are consist of 4 classikication they are ulama fisherman civil servant and government official. The outcomes of the research indicate that the batakan community has indigenous knowladge concept in managing beach environment by concerning on sea ecosystem balance by only taking the type of the fish which have high valuve utilizing continous sea production by conserving and concerning by using particultural standart and using traditional tools they do not exploit the sea like they want and they exploit it carefully and seriously. But today they are no attempts doing by the batakan community to consarve their environtment because ulama traditional fisherman and modern fisherman hardly have knowlwdge of environment conservation and there is no cultural heritance from their ancestor to be given for the next generation.
