Keadilan dalam debat komunitarianisme dan liberalisme
In this paper I will explain theoretical discourse between communitarian thinkers and liberalist thinkers on the concept of justice. Liberalist thinkers argue that the most fundamental principle of integrated society is justice. In that case we need universal principles that guarantee it. On the contary communitarian thinkers argue that the concept of justice cannot be universal because justice always embedded in certain community that has unique principles that different from other community. So speaking ontologocally there is no such thing as universal concept of justice. This argumentation actually departed from anthropological assumption of the communitarian thinkers who always discern individual as embedded in the context of values that he/she exists. And because there is no individual that is absolutely free from community context there cannot be any moral principles including justice which universally prevail. According to my opinion this thesis is incredibly rational. But this thesis actully attacks on the different epistemological level It is ontological level. On the contrary liberalist thinkers arguein the political level about just procedure in the democratic society. As synthesis I will argue that Jurgen Habermas with his discourse principles on the political level can tranquallize the debate and give room to substantial value which can be opened to discourse and just procedure in the decision making process especially in the democratic society.
