This article describes the implementation of contextual approach in the subject of The Introduction of Literary Study. Seven components are required in implementing this approach. They are contructivism inquiry questioning learning community modeling reflection and authentic assessment. The contextual approach is necessary to by implemented so the students are able to understand the literary theories and implement it in analyzing literaly works.
