This study was aimed to improve the teacher ability to use the method of playing games in order to improve the quality of the teaching of matematics in elementary schools. This study was carried out in SDN (elementary school) 25 in kota selatan gorontalo municipality in the third fourth fifth and sixth grades. Each teacher was monitored by the school principal the supervisior and researcher using an observation sheet. In addition there was also a feedback sheet from the students. the result of the monitoring in each cyckle was evaluated for futher planning and for implementation of improvement in the nex cycle. the result of the study was reported qualitatively. The action done was giving a trainingto use the method of the playing games in the teaching of methematics.
