Studi Peningkatan Tranportasi Laut di Propinsi Maluku untuk mendukung Perkembangan Trans Maluku.



The geographical characteristic of maluku (moluccas) as an archipelagic province needs to be supported by inter-connection transportation in order to acommondate people mobility and economical activities. The concept of trans maluku arises to facilitate the inter-connection transport. currently sea infrastrukture in maluku carried by ship with 500-750 DWT in fact Maluku s ocean influenced a lot by the weather which often caused high tide and extreme climate. Hence the goverment lan to operate ships with 1100-2000 DWT. The research aimed ad analizing the developmen effort of Trans Maluku based on the goverment policy and to vind out the oportunities in operating ships with 2000 GT. The data used in the combinatin of quantitative and aqualitative data as the base to conduct descriptive analyses. Next some formulas and assumption are made to estimate the operation opportunity in operating ship with 2000 GT. The result of the research reveals that refers to tatrawil of Maluku Propince 12 ships are needed to accommodate the mobiliti of people and goods according to the prot infrastrukture some prots in Maluku are eligible to lean by ship with 2000 GT and in order to fasilitate commercial route as the inplementation of trans Maluku there are 6 (six) ships with 2000 GT needed.
