<note>In a effort to develop the modern Arabic lexicology it is important to look back at the history of codification of Arabic language in the era of Islamic codofocation an era which methodological sciences developed rapidly. Through the analysis of language history it was found out that the main causre of the Arabic lexicologist codifying the dictions is the factor of the Qur an in which it became a major study in developing religion study. At the time the methods applied in the codification rests on the levels of Arabic language classes field analysis of language and analysis of meaning. Dictionary resulted from this method are categorized into 2 major groups. That is the dictionary based on the aspects of meaning and aspects of pronunciation. The dictionary based on meaning classify the diction from the perspective of the field of meaning such as grouping the dictions that are in the same roots the same meaning and in the same field. On the other hand Lafdzi Dictionary (based on pronunciation) classifies the dictions according to the rules of morphology such as grouping the dictions with the same number of letters similar construction and other. Seeing the enthusiasm of the classical lexicologists and Arabic linguists towards this study it can be colcluded that the Qur an was at that time really inspiring the birth of Islamic epistemologies including Arabic lexicology that is now part of the semantics.</note>
