Problem solving is an important goal in mathematics instruction. However there is limited empirical evidence on how mathematics problem solving instruction has been understood and implemented by mathematics teachers. Therefoe this research was aimed to portry the forms of mathematic problem solving instruction in public primary shools particurly in Kotamadya Malang. This research found that (1) more than half of the teachers have good and very good understanding on mathematics problem solving (2) almost all teachers have good and vary good attitude to the mathematics problem solving instruction and (3) most teachers have well and very well implemented mathematics problem solving instruction (in the form of word problem)
