An earlier publication in Journal of Chemical Education(1989 66 559) described the New Jersey Chemistry competition. Since that publication the competition has continued for another 14 years and considerable changes have been made in the organization and scope of the event in particular the inclusion of events with a chemical engineering focus. The purpose of this article is to present a detailed overview of the program so that persons interested in developing a similar event can make use of our experience.
