Environmental chemistry continiues to be of increasing interest to both graduate and undergraduate students. This is evidence by recent reports on the extensive incorporation of environmental projects into the graduate and undergraduate curriculum at many institutions and the large number of environmental science programs available. A laboratory focusing on the determination of metallic elements in the water samples was developed. A variety of metalic cations(Cd2 Pd2 Cu2 and Zn2 ) ware subjected to a typical cloud-point extraction procedure in order to obtain the optimal conditions. The laboratory experiment requied prelab lecture (tutorial lecture).
