Teknik peningkatan kemampuan berbicara untuk murid sekolah dasar kelas tinggi



Improving elementary school student oral proficiency in Indonesian especially among the upper graders (i.e. the 3rd through sixth graders) can be done by means of conversation and information-sharing. In the conversation activity the class is divided into small groups each group is assigned to respond to a story or a reading passage. Through this activity the students have the opportunity to initiate a conversation to do turn taking to continue an on-going conversation to tolerate different opinions to express their thoughts and feelings to refer to their friends opinions and to end a conversation. Besides conversation information-sharing is also useful for developing students oral proficiency in Indonesian. The information-sharing activity helps students to develop their skills in presenting information putting forward their thoughts or ideas supporting their opinions and choosing a conversation topic
