Liwa Botanic Gardens (LBG) is one of botanic gardens Indonesia focusing on the conservation of Indonesian Ornametal Plants . Orchind collection in the LBG consist of 805 specimens which included in 425 collection number. All orchid collection in the LBG are included in CITES Appendix II. Based on the Indonesian Goverment Regulation no. 7 1999 about preservation of flora and fauna there are 3 species collection in LBG i. e Grammatophyllum speciosum Phalaenopsis amboinensis and Vanda sumatrana. While acording to IUCN Red List 2014 there are 2 species least concern that are Claderia viridiflora and Coelogyne foerstermanni. Some orchid have economic prospect that include Grammatophyllum scriptum G. speciosum Dendrobium spp. Phalaenopsis spp. Calanthe triplicata Cymbidium finlaysonianum Acriopsis javanica Nevilia aragoana and Corymborkis veratrifolia.
