Among the wide variety of cooperating learning methods a modified Student Team Learning method (STAD) was used in an organic chemestry class at Armstrong Atlantic State University. All STAD methods have three common features team reward individual accountability and equal opportunities for succes. The STAD methods was used in this study because it is well suited for science instruction and it is one of the simplest methods to implement.
