Science Teaching and Teachers' Knowledge: Prospect for Reform of Elementary Classroom



This article give views of teaching and the growth of teachers knowledge form the starting point. Drawing on close observations of the work of individual elementary teachers this article attempts to develop some of these existing ideas about teachers practice and teachers knowledge within the context of science education offering some new insights into the prospects for reform of elementary classrooms.
